Objective :

To encourage angling.

To acquire by lease or otherwise the right of fishing for salmon, sea trout, trout or other fish in any of the rivers or lochs in the area.

To improve these fishings.

 

 About Portree Angling Club:

 Portree Angling Club was formed in 1955 and successfully supports and promotes angling in the Island of Skye.

Its objectives are to encourage angling, to acquire by lease or otherwise the right of fishing for salmon, sea trout, brown trout or other fish in any of the rivers or lochs in the area and to improve these fishings.

Membership is open to anglers who support the aims and aspirations of Portree Angling Association.

The club is managed by a 16 member committee, which meets regularly throughout the year.

It is led by Chairman Alastair Nicolson, vice chairman Finlay Boyd, secretary Bernard Cookson and treasurer Lindesay Wood.

The annual general meeting, held in November, receives reports on the affairs of the club and appoints officials for the following year.
