Portree Angling Association, founded in 1955, supports and promotes angling in the Isle of Skye. Our aims are to acquire fishing in Skye and to make this available to both members and visitors at a reasonable cost. We now have a range of waters that provides fishing to suit all tastes, ranging from small native brown trout in remote mountain lochs to salmon in spate rivers, and including boat or bank fishing on the famous Storr Lochs.
Membership is available to all, whether you live on or off the Isle of Skye. Every season our 140 members are joined by visiting anglers, many of whom return year after year to enjoy the fishing, scenery and wildlife of north Skye.
The Association is managed by a committee of 14 members, ably led by Chairman Alasdair Nicolson.
Other officers are:
Vice Chairman........ Neil Cameron
Treasurer............. Lindesay Wood
